Located on the beautiful Vargas Island, Cedar Coast is boat access only. 

Getting to Vargas Island

Once you have arrived in Tofino, Cedar Coast staff will meet you at the Cedar Coast Dock located at 630 Campbell Street.

To reach the dock, enter Tofino on Campbell Street and turn right down the hill at the Long Beach Surf Shop. At the bottom of the hill, turn left into the parking adjacent the small red building of Naas Foods.

If you have driven a vehicle you may park in the small lot overlooking the Cedar Coast Dock. Please inform Cedar Coast staff ahead of time if your group will be needing to park a large 24 passenger bus so that we can plan parking arrangements accordingly.
If the Cedar Coast Dock parking lot is full, limited street parking is available and pay parking for vehicles (including RVs and busses) is available adjacent to the Municipal Office at 121 3rd Street. For more information, please visit: http://www.tofino.ca/parking

Water Taxi: $59/person/roundtrip (2-person minimum) 

Cedar Coast is only responsible for the transportation we provide with our own vessel. All other transportation is at the risk of each guest.

*Please note that any transport provided by Cedar Coast is dependent upon availability and suitable weather conditions.

Visitors wishing to bring their own boats should contact us directly to ensure moorage is available. Please contact us at info@thecedarcoast for more information.

The journey by kayak from Tofino to Vargas Island takes 1 to 2 hours, depending on paddler skill and sea conditions. Cedar Coast recommends that this journey is only undertaken in the company of a certified kayak guide. If interested, please contact a local kayaking outfit in Tofino directly.
